HPT Chart Example #3 – This is Alex S.

This is Human Power Baseball Training

This is Alex, an average 14-year-old male who plays Catcher in Freehold, NJ. Alex had great Baseball training and some experience working out with his baseball team doing agility work. Despite this, he is unable to execute the skills he has been taught with flawless precision. Alex’s parents are making an investment for his High School and hopefully Collegiate athletic future with Human Power Training (HPT). In 5 short weeks, 15 total sessions, you can see the effect HPT had on Alex and how it has translated into his game at the end of the fall and into the early spring season.

This chart is an example of only 1 exercise out of 30 total that Alex has done in a 5-week period. Each workout is designed specifically for the sport the individual is playing, in this case, the workouts that Alex does are designed specifically for Human Power Training developments for Baseball Players.

Looking at December 15th, for this specific exercise (DB Flat Bench), Alex’s Peak Velocity was 0.65 M/S with a Human Power output of 210 using a weight of 25 pounds. Two weeks later on December 29th, his Peak Velocity spiked up to 0.98 M/S with a Human Power output of 317 with a weight of 25 pounds. Compared to the previous recording, Alex’s Peak Velocity increased by 50.77% and Human Power increased by 50.95%! January 5th was the last day we took readings for this exercise, Alex’s Peak Velocity was 0.87M/S, and had a Human Power output of 281 using 25 pounds. Compared to the first measurement on December 15th Alex showed an increase of Peak Velocity by 33.85% and an increase in his Human Power output by 33.81% for this recording!

Within the span of 5 weeks, Alex’s average Peak Velocity increased by 42.31%, and his average Human Power output increased by 42.38%! These numbers are only for 1 specific exercise out of the many that Alex does. While we did also notice improvements within other exercises regarding Alex’s increase in Velocity and Power, the numbers for this exercise showed the greatest improvement over the 5-week cycle!

Within the 5 weeks that Alex has been training to improve his HPT output, he has been able to stand out more to his coaches. While it is the off-season for baseball, Alex’s team still practices regularly at indoor facilities. The biggest changes within the 5 weeks towards Alex’s performance were the changes in his explosive power! The increases that Alex was able to make with his HPT transferred over to his sport are helping him become a more rounded player. His pop time coming up from being in the catching position (the time it takes to jump up from crouching down to throw someone out) increased compared to when we started.

In addition, the power and speed that Alex can hit the ball with has gone up. He is now able to have better control over where he wants to hit the ball and drive through with it, rather than before the ball would make contact with his bat and fly off in any direction. Again, Within the span of 5 weeks, Alex’s average Peak Velocity increased by 42.31%, and his average Human Power output increased by 42.38%!

The improvements with his Velocity and Human Power have transferred over to Alex’s baseball skills and he is able to execute the skills that were taught to him with greater precision.
